My name is Tony Yuan and I’m the head instructor at Mastermind Muay Thai. Since 2014, I’ve been a full-time instructor, making my living teaching the art of Muay Thai here in the Kennett Square, PA area.
Back in 2007, I had recently graduated college at Rutgers University in NJ as an Engineer. After college, I found a full-time job in Pennsylvania and moved out to start a new life and a new occupation.
Unfulfilled by my job, I stumbled upon a documentary on Muay Thai, the art of 8 limbs. This led to me finding a Muay Thai School to train at.
Little did I know, that what I had discovered would turn from a hobby to something I would dedicate my life to sharing with others.
Through my training/competing across the country in both the US as well as travelling/competing and training all across Thailand, I discovered secrets of the art that could easily cut the learning curve for students new to the art.
In fact, I discovered that with the wrong training and incorrect instruction, someone could practice for hours and actually make NEGATIVE progress.
And so, for me, it’s been my passion to train people coming to the art with zero martial arts experience – and set them off on the right path along their Muay Thai journey.
Because the art is so much more than just punching and kicking – and more than the self-defense, the physical fitness, our mission at Mastermind Muay Thai is to help you discover the power, confidence, and inner strength that lies within each and every one of us.
